Being that it’s one of the more rare fruits in the game, Pomegranate can’t be found far and wide like some others. It’s only found in one area, Ember Valley, and the fruit’s dark color doesn’t make it easy to spot from a distance.

How to Get Pomegranates

The Pomegranates of Slime Rancher 2 don’t look anything like the fruit in real life, but their purple and vaguely rocky visage is pretty pleasing to Batty Slimes. Being their favorite food, they’ll give two Plorts instead of one when feeding on Pomegranates.

You may also want to use them to feed the Batty Gordo in Ember Valley, as you’ll only need 15 to feed it instead of 30 other fruits. However, it might be better to just use other fruits considering the difficulty of finding Pomegranates out in the wild.

There are a few different Pomegranate trees to be found in Ember Valley. Here are the locations of two to get you started:

One can be found in the large cave filled with Boom Slimes, Batty Slimes, and Crystal Slimes in the southern portion of of the area. The tree can be found in the upper portion of this cave.

The other also requires you delve into a cave; its entrance is marked in the below image. You need the Jetpack for this one.

Head into the cave until you come to a small area filled with Batty Slimes and Crystal Slimes. Let the geyser carry you upward, then finish your ascent using the Jetpack. Another Pomegranate tree stands up here, also in the company of hungry slimes.

Surely these aren’t the only Pomegranate trees in the area, but don’t rely on gathering them out in the wild if you’re using them to feed Batty Slimes since they are so far and few between. Take them home and plant one in a garden to keep a steady supply of them in that case.
