Here are the new prices for each PS Now tier:
Monthly subscription — $9. 99 (down from $19. 99) 3-month subscription — $24. 99 (down from $44. 99) 12-month subscription — $59. 99 (down from $99. 99)
As is usually the case, the biggest discount comes from the yearly subscription, which is essentially $4.99 per month, half the price of the regular monthly subscription.
Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad suggests the changes are part of Sony’s plans to expand its cloud-based gaming offerings and audience ahead of the next console generation.
Part of that strategy includes more content, too.
The PS Now streaming library currently offers more than 800 PS2, PS3, and PS4 games that can be downloaded and played either on a PS4 system or a compatible PC.
However, Sony plans to add more big-name titles. The first set of new offerings is available today until January 2, 2020, and includes:
God of War Grand Theft Auto V inFAMOUS Second Son Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
