Those looking to pick up Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the sequel-slash-expansion to 2018’s Spider-Man by Insomniac, will need a minimum of 50GB free on their PS5’s SSD for the standard edition. The ultimate edition, which includes a remastered version of Spider-Man and the new Miles Morales in a single package, will need 105GB of free space.

It’s twice the size, but it’s also more than twice the game with remastered assets, so it makes sense it would be that large. That’s in slight contrast to the Demon’s Souls remake, which will clock in at 66GB.

As we noted in that article, the PS5’s proprietary SSD is 825GB stock. Accounting for the size of the OS and that Astro’s Playroom is installed on every PlayStation 5, the final size is most likely somewhere in the mid- to high-700s. With that in mind, the ultimate edition of Miles Morales will take up a little less than 1/7 of the PS5’s SSD, not an entirely small amount of space.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was unveiled during Sony’s PS5 Future of Gaming event in June. The reveal was somewhat marred by confusion surrounding the breadth of the game, specifically if it was a full-on sequel to 2018’s lauded Spider-Man or if it was a glorified expansion. Insomniac later said that it is a stand-alone game, though it is smaller in scope than Spider-Man.

The standard edition of the game will release alongside the PS5 on November 12 and cost $49.99. The ultimate edition will also release on November 12, but it will carry a price tag of $69.99.
